This is a legitimate ski in and out with easy access to the Eagle lodge and the main lift and from the slopes. The room is quite and comfortable. You also have access to public transportation that comes through Juniper Springs Resort.

My family and I are frequent Mammoth visitors throughout the winter season. This is the first time I've stayed at Sunstone, and it is BY FAR, our favorite place we've ever stayed in Mammoth. The unit itself is clean, clean, clean. It's spacious, warm and above all, convenient. NO need to pack the kids in the car and fight for parking at the lodge! With the lockers on the ground level, we just snap them on and ski down to Little Eagle. Amazing, especially on a holiday weekend! I cannot tell you how nice it was to stay here. It's well worth the extra $. Warm enclosed secure parking garage, clean property, ski in-ski out, helpful maintenance staff, and like I said, LOCATION!

We had a very pleasant stay at Sunstone and would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like the convenience of a ski in/ski out resort. The location is great and the accommodations are clean.

The sofa bed was not very comfortable. It sinks in the middle.

Broken dishwasher there couldn't be repaired was a bummer. Also for a unit that sleeps 7 there is minimal storage, otherwise decent unit in decent location, and mgmt. company is professional.

Very conveniently located unit near Eagle Lodge/Lift. Unit was exactly as described/shown in photos. We'll stay here again and would recommend it to others.

We rented this unit for an early April stay on the basis of it being a ski-in ski-out location. While I will take some responsibility, I wish the description would have noted that this side of the mountain closes before the main lodge so it's hit or miss. I probably should have guessed there was a catch, but a little more disclosure would have been appreciated. I will give it 4 stars under the assumption that I should have known better. If I were take the view, however, that since I have never been to Mammoth, the mgt company should note this potential risk in the listing, I would rate it 2 stars.

The stay otherwise was quite nice, and no one was in the building while were there (probably because of the first note above). The only other complaint I have is that the wifi was ridiculously slow. My wife try to express this to the property management team when we dropped off the keys, but they chose to be a bit defensive about it stating that a lot of people must have been using wifi in the building (which as noted above couldn't have been the case). Other than this minor annoying encounter we had no problems/interaction with property mgt.

Pool and spa were very nice for kids. We would definitely come back if the lift is actually running next time.

I was really satisfied with my stay in the unit #314. We stayed previously in many units in Juniper springs and Sunstone. By far this unit was better furnished and more updated than many others. The location of Juniper springs is very convenient, true ski-in, ski-out. Management company was very efficient and professional.

We loved staying at this unit. Quiet and clean--it met and exceeded our expectations. The unit was well stocked with all the necessities. It was worth the extra money for the convenience in both location and amenities. We hope to stay again.

Nice third-floor location, well furnished and cared for. Away from the pool/hot tub so no noise at night. The only annoyance was a clicking sound at night from expansion of the baseboard heater when it turned on.
